Spirals are a concept trick where the yoyo and counter weight travel around an object one way, then unravel and re-ravel the opposite direction.
Start off with one repetition of Angel Wings. Stall the counter weight on the back of your throw hand wrist to redirect it.
Now that you have everything spinning in the same direction, close your fingers together on the yoyo hand. Let the counter weight wrap itself around the front of your fingers. The yoyo should wrap around the back of your hand.
Once you’ve run out of string, follow through with the motion to begin its smooth redirection. It is important to follow through to slow the inertia of the yoyo, otherwise you risk hitting your hand and ruining the trick.
Quickly unwrap everything, keep your hand still and the yoyo and counter weight will begin to wrap themselves around your hand the opposite direction.
This time the counterweight will wrap itself around the back of your hand and the yoyo around the front of your fingers.
Follow through to stop the inertia again. Then unwrap everything once more.
Catch the counterweight and land a trapeze once everything has unraveled for the last time.
