Helicopter is a classic 5A trick by Rafael Matsunaga. This is one is important because it’s the first trick where one element is moving on a different plane.
The yoyo somersaults regularly while the counterweight moves laterally. There’s a special rhythm you’ll have to learn to be able to keep each of these different elements spinning without interruption.
Tricks starts off with a trapeze, slide your hand down the string and start swinging the counterweight laterally. Do this slowly at first. When you’re ready, do a somersault with the yoyo.
Do this one at a time until you build rhythm, then try for multiple repetitions.
