The concept of a grind is a new one to this series of tricks. A grind consists of the yoyo spinning on a part of your body. The Finger Grind is the most basic grind yoyo trick.
Start with a Trapeze. Dismount the yoyo and swing it back toward your throw hand. Land the yoyo on your throw hand index finger. Point your index finger slightly down to balance the yoyo on your finger. After a few seconds drop the yoyo back onto the string to re-land the trapeze. That’s the finger grind.
