Buckets are a recurring mount in 1A. When you start making up your own string tricks you’ll often notice yourself getting into some version of a bucket mount, usually by accident. You should know Eli Hops before attempting Bucket Hops.
Start with a break away. Drape the string around the back of your non throw hand. Wrap the string around your non throw hand thumb and over your index. Now Pluck the bottom string that’s around your thumb and pull it backward. Flip the yoyo up and over from the outside and land it on that plucked string. You are now in a bucket.
Spread the bucket out with your fingers and perform hops with it. Do as many repetitions as you like and when you’re done, flip the yoyo back out and drop all the strings, there should not be a knot. Bring the yoyo back to your hand and you’re finished.
